Amazon is the biggest eCommerce company in the world. They are 2 times bigger than Walmarts market cap. Jeff Bezos started this company way back in 1994 as an online book-selling company but now Amazon sells everything that you need. But don't underestimate this company it is not an ordinary eCommerce company they are so diverse that you can even imagine. They are brutal to kill their competition. They are in Video streaming, music, logistics, cloud services, offline stores, game streaming platforms, and news agencies, robotics, biotechnology, Space technology they are everywhere. They hold the 4th position in this list and their market cap was $1.1T. But let's see What are the major acquisition of Amazon

1. Zappos:

Zappos.com is an American online shoe and clothing retailer based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The company was founded in 1999 by Nick Swinmurn and launched under the domain name Shoesite.com.  Amazon bought Zappos in 2019 for $1.2B and integrated it into their eCommerce arm.

2. Love Film:

LOVEFiLM is an Amazon company and is the leading European film subscription service with over 2 million members in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. In February 2011 LOVEFiLM was acquired by Amazon EU SARL. Amazon bought Love Film in 2011 for $312M and integrate it into amazon prime videos.

3. Kiva Systems:

Amazon Robotics, formerly Kiva Systems, is a Massachusetts-based company that manufactures mobile robotic fulfillment systems. Amazon bought it in 2012 for $775M and change its name to Amazon robotics.

4. Good reads:

Goodreads is an American social cataloging website and a subsidiary of Amazon that allows individuals to search its database of books, annotations, quotes, and reviews. Users can sign up and register books to generate library catalogs and reading lists. Amazon bought good reads in 2013 for an undisclosed amount.

5. Twitch:

Twitch is an American video live streaming service that focuses on video game live streaming, including broadcasts of esports competitions, in addition to offering music broadcasts, creative content, and "in real life" streams. It is operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. Amazon bought twitch in 2014 for $970M and integrate it into Amazon prime gaming.

6. Annapurna Labs:

Annapurna Labs is an Israeli microelectronics company. Since January 2015 it has been a subsidiary of Amazon.com. Amazon reportedly acquired the company for its Amazon Web Services division for US$350–370M. 

7. Elemental: 

AWS Elemental, formerly known as Elemental Technologies, is a software company headquartered in Portland, Oregon, and owned by Amazon Web Services that specializes in the multiscreen video. Amazon bought Elemental in 2015 for $500M and integrate it with AWS (Amazon Web Solutions).

8. SOUQ.com: 

Souq.com was the largest e-commerce platform in the Arab world. The company launched in 2005 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. On March 28, 2017, Amazon.com Inc. acquired Souq.com for $580 million as a subsidiary and integrate it into Amazon. ae

9. Whole Foods: 

Whole Foods Market IP, Inc. is an American multinational supermarket chain headquartered in Austin, Texas, which sells products free from hydrogenated fats and artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. A USDA Certified Organic grocer in the United States, the chain is popularly known for its organic selections. Amazon bought whole foods in 2017 for $13.7B.

10. ZOOX: 

Zoox is a subsidiary of Amazon developing autonomous vehicles that provide Mobility-as-a-Service. It is headquartered in Foster City, California, and has offices of operations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle, Washington. Amazon bought ZOOX in 2020 for $1.2B.

11. Metro Goldwyn Mayer: 

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. is an American media company, founded in 1924, that produces and distributes feature films and television programs. It is based in Beverly Hills, California. MGM was formed by Marcus Loew by combining Metro Pictures, Goldwyn Pictures, and Louis B. Mayer Pictures into a single company. Amazon bought Metro Goldwyn Mayer in 2021 for $8.4B and integrate it into amazon prime videos.

12. The Internet Movie Database: 

IMDb is an online database of information related to films, television series, home videos, video games, and streaming content online – including cast, production crew, personal biographies, plot summaries, trivia, ratings, and fan, and critical reviews. Amazon bought Imdb in 1998 for $55M.

13. Audible: 

Audible is an American online audiobook and podcast service that allows users to purchase and stream audiobooks and other forms of spoken word content. Amazon bought Audible in 2008 for $300M and change its name to Amazon Audible.

14. Cloud Endure: 

CloudEndure is a cloud computing company that develops business continuity software for disaster recovery, continuous backup, and live migration. CloudEndure is headquartered in the United States with R&D in Israel. Amazon bought Cloud Endure in 2019 for $250M and integrate it with AWS (Amazon Web Solutions).
